World of Fireplaces 2027: Strong support from the industry
Leading companies, new international exhibitors and industry associations are putting their trust in WOF – from 13 to 15 April 2027, the fireplace industry will be gathering in Leipzig for the third time
World of Fireplaces (WOF) 2027 is continuing to take shape: numerous leading companies across the entire value chain have already confirmed their participation in the third edition of the international trade fair, which will take place in Leipzig from 13 to 15 April 2027. In addition, there will be many new international exhibitors who will be represented at WOF for the first time in 2027.
Companies that have already confirmed their participation include Attika Feuer, Austroflamm, Brunner, Camina & Schmid, CB-tec, Contura, Dielle, Extraflame, Gruppo Piazzetta, Hafnertec, Hagos, Hoxter, HWAM, La Nordica, Leda, Lotus Heating Systems, MK, Nordpeis, Oranier, Panadero, Rika, Rüegg, Spartherm, Steegmüller Kaminoflex, Termatech and Thermorossi etc.
Leipzig will thus once again become the industry’s international meeting place, bringing together decision-makers from Europe and around the world.
A strong signal in a challenging market environment
Particularly against the backdrop of the challenging economic situation in parts of the fireplace industry, this positive response sends a strong signal regarding the trade fair’s relevance. The fact that market leaders and international exhibitors are making a conscious decision to take part in WOF underlines the importance the trade fair has gained in the market.
This is also confirmed by Nick Fleischhacker, Managing Director of Oranier: “Following the second edition of World of Fireplaces, the trade fair has established itself in Europe as the industry’s focal point.” Doris Pfeiffer, Managing Director of Austroflamm, emphasises the importance of face-to-face interaction: “Trade fairs bring industry players together, encourage dialogue and strengthen collaborative partnerships. This dialogue fosters understanding, reliability and, at times, friendships – all of which form the basis for long-term success.”
Growth confirms the company’s strong market position
More than 340 exhibitors and brands have already signed up for the second edition of WOF 2025 in Leipzig – a 42 per cent increase compared with 2023.
The trade fair brings together manufacturers, suppliers and service providers with decision-makers from the retail, trades, architecture and other relevant sectors. For trade visitors, this means: a single event, short distances and a concentrated overview of products, innovations and market developments. Exhibitors reach an international trade audience in a central location in Germany, the most important market for the European fireplace industry.
Germany sets high standards in terms of quality and emissions. Solutions that prove their worth here can therefore also set the trend for other markets. At the same time, the energy transition, the heating transition and new political frameworks are fundamentally transforming the industry. World of Fireplaces 2027 will specifically address these key issues for the future. Among other things, this will include the ‘Hybrid Heating’ special show, which focuses on innovative and sustainable heating solutions, and the central Fireplace Hub as a platform for specialist presentations, discussions and networking.
Shaping the future of the industry together: Fireplace HUB
In light of the changes in the heating and energy market, there is a growing need for knowledge, guidance and dialogue. For the Fireplace HUB, organiser trendfairs is therefore developing the WOF 2027 stage programme in collaboration with leading institutions and industry associations.
Participants include the Federal Association of Chimney Sweeps (ZIV), the German Biomass Research Centre (DBFZ), the EFA – European Fireplaces Association, the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR), the GVOB – GesamtVerband OfenBau, the HKI Industrial Association for House, Heating and Kitchen Technology, the Wood Heat Initiative (IH), and the Technology and Funding Centre (TFZ).
The focus is on the issues currently shaping the industry: emissions reduction, hybrid heating systems, security of supply, the legal framework, technological developments, securing the next generation of skilled tradespeople, and the future role of individual fireplaces.
As he takes up his post, the new Managing Director of trendfairs GmbH, Christopher Boss, is setting a clear direction: “For us, it is crucial to consistently develop the trade fair from the industry’s perspective. Today, more than ever, companies must decide very carefully where to invest. That is why we create added value through guidance, enriching encounters and new ideas. At the same time, our aim remains clear: WOF is a business platform – this is where contacts are made, business deals are initiated and decisions are taken,” says Boss.
The high level of interest from exhibitors, the international nature of the event and the close collaboration with leading industry associations are already evident months before the event: World of Fireplaces 2027 will once again be the key meeting place for an industry that is rising to current challenges and shaping its future together.
