trendfairs GmbH, a premium provider of specialised trade fairs based in Fürth and Munich, is taking the NürnbergMesse Group on board as a shareholder.

 

The trade fair organiser is one of the 15 largest in the world. "With our high-quality B2B events in the areas of interiors, lifestyle and technology, which are organised in Germany, Austria and in future also in Switzerland, we are a perfect fit for the NürnbergMesse portfolio," says Michael Rambach, Managing Partner and founder of trendfairs. "We use our expertise and passion to create extraordinary exhibition concepts that always put the customer at the centre. As a member of the NürnbergMesse Group, we also want to develop new themes and events and utilise synergies."

 

trendfairs will continue to be responsible for its markets and customers as an independent company. Synergy effects will be achieved in the medium term with regard to NürnbergMesse's existing event portfolio, procurement and the transfer of expertise between the exhibition professionals. "With trendfairs, we are gaining a top exhibition organiser that has been inspiring exhibitors and visitors for many years with its excellent event expertise, impressive customer proximity and customised formats," says Peter Ottmann, CEO NürnbergMesse Group, about the investment.

 

The NürnbergMesse Group is made up of NürnbergMesse GmbH and its 15 subsidiaries and holdings. Around 1,000 employees work for the company at eleven locations in Germany, Brazil, China, India, Italy, Greece, Austria and the USA. The NürnbergMesse Group also has a network of foreign representatives in over 100 countries. The portfolio comprises around 120 trade fairs and congresses, which focus on the five thematic areas of Retail & Consumer Goods, Building & Construction, Process Technology, Electronics & Security and Social & Public as face-to-face events and digital events, and are increasingly integrating sustainability aspects into their trade fair concepts.

The focus of trendfairs remains on the kitchen, furnishing and technology sectors, which the organiser has specialised in with its trade fairs: the annual "area30" trade and order fair with the "cube30" showroom is a recognised platform for the German kitchen and furnishing industry. The "küchenwohntrends Salzburg" trade fair has been showcasing the latest trends in kitchens, dining and living every two years since 2013 in cooperation with "möbel austria", while the new "world of fireplaces" has been focussing on fireplaces and cosy ambience of living since April 2023 and takes place every two years in Leipzig. A new addition is the "swiss interior expo", which will be held in Bern from November 2024 as a trade fair for kitchens and furnishings.

Continuity in terms of quality, flexibility and customer proximity will be ensured by the well-established team at trendfairs, which will continue to manage the company after NürnbergMesse joins: Managing Partner Michael Rambach, who will share the management with Claudia Weidner, previously responsible for operations and strategy, from 1 January 2024. Ulrike Rohde, the previous Managing Director, has retired but will continue to advise the company. Partner Marc Röder will take over commercial management in addition to his sales duties.
