area30: A reliable anchor at ‘Küchenherbst’ – tailored communication and successful business
Through good times and challenging times: the most-visited exhibition centre at ‘Küchenherbst’ in East Westphalia reliably brings exhibitors and interested customers together, ultimately leading to successful orders.
Every September, the area30 trade fair takes centre stage within the community of decision-makers, networkers and influencers in the kitchen sector – and not just geographically. Since 2013, organiser Trendfairs (Fürth) has been providing a business platform that is not only in high demand but also of paramount importance to exhibitors. Particularly in turbulent economic times, the platform offers guidance and the opportunity for strategic networking. The unique combination of relevant topics and all industry segments is very well received – the bookings coming in for 2026, naturally including many of the ‘regular exhibitors’ who have been loyal for over a decade and a half, underline this once again.
This B2B event, which recently attracted around 12,000 experts from kitchen showrooms, specialist retailers, trade associations, project planners, site managers, architects and the skilled trades, offers the highest concentration of exhibitors and the greatest density of new products in the kitchen hub of East Westphalia, with around 180 exhibitors and brands, ensuring the best possible business opportunities. Thanks to the trade fair organiser’s recently established long-term partnership with the associations of the wood and furniture industry in North Rhine-Westphalia (Herford) – including the Association of the German Kitchen Furniture Industry – this network of industry, trade, associations and the media will become even more powerful in future.
Decision-makers from Germany, Europe and overseas will once again find all their needs comprehensively met at area30 from 19 to 24 September 2026 – in the right place at the right time, at the heart of what is arguably the world’s largest kitchen industry cluster. But it is not just the good business opportunities at and around this trade fair, whose comprehensive services and close networking between exhibitors and visitors have ensured its enduring success story for years: many of the solutions and developments on offer go far beyond day-to-day business and demonstrate crucial approaches for a profitable future in the global market.
This is another reason why Daniel Hörnes, Managing Director of Quooker Deutschland GmbH, emphasises – almost with emotion – that: “It is precisely in times of change that we see which platforms really stand the test. area30 offers exactly that: strong networks, close ties to the industry and an atmosphere that inspires. Especially for trade visitors: here you can let yourself go and experience something new – that is the innovative foundation for a successful end-customer business, both now and in the future. For Quooker, the trade fair is far more than just a showcase – it is part of our history and we are proud to be part of it.” And Lasse Naber, Managing Director of Naber GmbH, adds, “Despite the changes in the trade fair landscape, one thing remains unchanged for us: area30 is and will always be our home. Since the fair’s inception, we have valued this unique platform, which not only strengthens our business but also fosters a special sense of community. For Naber, area30 is the central meeting place for the kitchen industry – and we want it to stay that way; that is why we support it.”
This year’s event focuses on sustainable initiatives that both strengthen the specialist retail sector and provide effective incentives for end consumers to make purchases. Not least, the topic of AI – which is currently receiving considerable media attention – is increasingly taking centre stage in the sales and marketing strategies of exhibitors and of area30 itself, as it offers countless new sales opportunities and possibilities for creating attractive shopping experiences centred around the kitchen.
Among the numerous market leaders and innovators enriching the 2026 exhibitor line-up are once again some familiar names: for example, AKP, Amica, Caesarstone, Grohe, Küchentreff, Hansgrohe, Häfele, Naber, Oranier, Plasmamade, Quooker, SHD, Strasser, Systemceram and Vogt. Nikolaus Fleischhacker, CEO at Oranier, speaks on behalf of these long-standing partners: “We have been committed to participating in area30 from day one. For us, this trade fair is a key event in the calendar, where we present our new products and meet our retail partners. We value the September event in Löhne as the industry gathering for kitchen technology and look forward to it every year.”
Numerous new exhibitors and returning exhibitors – including Atlas Plan, Bertrandt, De'Longhi, Der Kreis, Granberg, Manz, Mirage Granito, Rempp Küchen, Wertgarantie and Zegotech – are convinced by the area30 concept and have already confirmed their participation for 2026.
The “roundtable” discussion with the organiser recently took place once again among the group of long-standing exhibitors. Here, Trendfairs Managing Director Christopher Boss provided information on the contracts signed with the town of Löhne for 2026, the planned visitor services such as car park shuttles and online registration, new flexible stand concepts and positioning with a fixed hall location, as well as the ‘cube30’ available for a permanent on-site presence. The stated aim of all stakeholders remains to strengthen Löhne as a trade fair venue and the kitchen industry. Not least for this reason, the partnership mentioned at the outset with the industry associations united under the umbrella brand “die möbelindustrie” is just as important a component as the interactions with the numerous in-house exhibitions organised by kitchen furniture manufacturers and their suppliers during the East Westphalian ‘Küchenherbst’.
Systemceram hosted this important event in Siershahn. In their own words: “The great significance of area30 for our industry has once again been confirmed. For Systemceram, it is the leading trade fair of the year. Here we engage in discussions with our long-standing partners and forge new business contacts. We particularly appreciate the clear focus on the world of kitchen fittings, the quality of the interactions and the positive, lively atmosphere. We are also very satisfied with the number of visitors once again. Our trade fair appearance was a complete success for us and, at the same time, a strong incentive – our participation in 2026 is a certainty,” said Managing Director Kevin Göbel, speaking on behalf of the active members of the area30 community, making a clear and forward-looking statement.
